LONOKE, Ark. - May 5, 2026 - Team Remington’s Todd Hitch shoots his way to the top of the podium at the Mississippi State Sporting Clay Championships with teammate Brandon Powell finishing as the Runner-up in the Main Event. The championships were held at Providence Hill in Jackson, Mississippi and drew a total of 354 competitors. The event ran from April 29-May 3, 2026.

To capture the Main Event High Over All, Hitch shot 99 out of 100 on both the Saturday and Sunday course to defeat Brandon Powell by three targets for the coveted state title. “Todd is having a great season to date,” says Christian Hogg, Marketing Director for Remington Ammunition. “He is consistently pushing to the top of the podium at every competition and his drive to perform at the highest level makes Team Remington a formidable group of sporting clay competitors,” says Hogg.

Brandon Powell captured two event titles at the State Championship. Powell defeated 269 shooters to win the Super Sport event and won the True Pair event by two targets over a field of 134 shooters. Besides the Runner-Up finish in the Main Event, Powell also finished fourth in the Providence Cup and third in FITASC.

Team Remington competes and wins with Remington Premier shotshells. Top quality, consistency, and accuracy come standard when trap, skeet, or sporting competitors shoot the iconic Premier STS and Premier Nitro families of ammunition.
